Onboard SeaDream we serve aqua-farmed caviar. The reason for this is that Wild sturgeon, the traditional source of caviar, is an endangered species. All sturgeon species are protected under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). At present, international trade in wild caviar from shared stocks, like the Caspian Sea or the Danube, is not allowed. 

 

Charters have a contracted allotment of caviar.

Procedure to request additional caviar:
Portion of 28 grams can be purchased onboard at the rate of $44.00 per gram.  Rate subject to change. 

 

Tin of 1 KG (2.2lbs) can be pre-ordered and pre-purchased. The rate is approx. $1,600 per tin.  Rate subject to change. 

 

Caviar not consumed onboard cannot be taken off the yacht.  It is for consumption onboard only.
